Gooseneck Specs:
With the B&W Turnoverball underbed gooseneck trailer hitch you get the best of both worlds. When you go to tow a gooseneck trailer, the Turnoverball creates a sturdy, dependable connection with your trailer. And when you're done towing, you can stow the ball upside down in the hitch to get full bed access and a clean appearance. When you're ready to tow your fifth wheel trailer, just install the Companion in the ball hole in place of the gooseneck ball and lock the post in place using the built-in handle. You can remove the fifth wheel when you're done towing, leaving your truck bed open once again.
Simple, Custom Installation
This kit is custom designed for your vehicle. The mounting brackets bolt to existing holes in your truck's frame. While some modification is required - you will need to cut a 3-1/2" diameter hole in your bed for the hitch ball and drill holes for the built-in safety chain loops - there is no need to weld onto or to drill into your frame.
Once you have the brackets and center section installed, set up the operating handle. This handle is designed to be accessed from the rear driver's-side wheel well. On the end of the handle is the heavy-duty steel pin that secures the mounting post of the Companion (or the base of the gooseneck hitch ball).

Better than a traditional mounting kit, this setup doubles as a gooseneck hitch when the fifth wheel is removed, and the underbed design allows for full bed access.Great hitch!Worked out great nice that BW has such good quality control ,it fit better than you could hope for.Only thing I did was drill the 3 1/2 " hole the placed the hitch upside down in the hole ,squared it in the box the marked the 4 safety chain u-bolt holes with a 9/16 " bit ,this gave me the centres of the holes then drilled pilot holes then the 9/16 " holes all from the top in the box.I found that much easier and this worker perfect.Will use etrailer.com again for sure.Keep up the good work.
Pretty easy install. Spend the 5 minutes to take the heat shield and spare tire off. The little rubber "gripper" on the handle pulled off the first pull. Maybe B&W could put a little glue on it .

B and W companion 5th wheel hitch on 2016 Ram 3500. Easy install, good directions. 20,000 pound capacity, will easily tow toy hauler. Removes easily to have full bed access or to use the gooseneck hitch which you will need for companion hitches. Very fast delivery. Thank you.
I just finished putting it in by myself and it wasn't bad at all I loved the video was very informative and that's one of the reasons I chose your product. fit and Finnish was excellent it went together just the way you said in the instructions and I'm primarily using it with the fifth wheel hitch combination I don't own a gooseneck at this time but it's a great option to have in the truck without having to mess up the bed with bolts and rails and things of that sort thanks again the video was great and so were the instructions.

Great vrey happy with this product
Excellent Product, I am using this underbed with a companion 5th Wheel hitch and I love the versatility of the gooseneck or 5th Wheel set-up and also the completely flat,no bars bed when I take of the companion. Install was easy for someone with lots of experience with car modifications and it took me around 2 hours at a slow pace to install. Instructions were clear, maybe a tiny bit unclear for the explanation regarding the pin position for long bed trucks, but videos online clear that up easily. Overall extremely satified with the product, been towing my 5th wheeel with the companion and its been great, companion is SO quiet compared to other 5th Wheel brands, I love it.
Product was perfect fit and took about 5 hours to install it was shipped fast in good condition good tuff hitch customer service must be good they have emailed me a couple of times asking if everything was good and it was

perfect fit heavy duty no problems
Ordered the B & W under bed 5th wheel/gooseneck adapter with Companion 5th wheel hitch for my new 2016 Ram 3500 4 X 4. Items were delivered on time and in a timely manner. My wife and I installed the under bed adapter in about 3 hours without a hitch! The video's on e trailer's web site were extremely helpful. A helpful hint for buys..... use a nylon strap passing it thru the new hole in the bed down thru the adapter ball hole and attach to a block of wood placed across the ball hole and have you partner pull up into position while supporting and aligning from the bottom side. Makes installing a breeze. Great product and now my bed is clean and can be used without interference of the older universal 5th wheel rails.
I ordered this hitch and the companion to tow a 5th wheel toy hauler eventually. Installation, went according to the instructions with a minor variance. I installed this in a 2015 Ram 3500 with the auto leveling air suspension and had to relocate one electrical wire and one air hose. Having two people to complete the install helped a lot as did removing the spare tire and heat shield. Installing the companion 5th wheel hitch to this was a no brainer. I can't wait to do my first tow with this setup.
I have never seen an aftermarket part fit so well. The directions were perfect and installation was easy. The only thin I did different was remove the tailpipe for install.

No problems, still happy.
Installation was pretty straight forward. Releasing the pin is not so easy. It hangs up on one of the mounting bolt heads. Not sure what the fix is going to be for this just yet
Installed on 2017 Ram 3500 longbed. Installation took approximately 45 minutes. I just held up hitch and put the bolts in, if you are not comfortable holding 50 ish pounds while starting bolts I’d recommend having a fried help or using a come along from the rafters. Shipping was very quick and packaging was excellent. Pro tip: spend $16 on a good hole saw, cheap hole saws are not worth the time and effort.
I was looking for a turnover ball gooseneck 5th wheel setup. I came across etrailer. I ordered the B&W gooseneck for my 2013 dodge 3500. Fit like a glove as they show on their videos. I ordered it Monday it showed up that Friday. Great job E trailer. Nice to see customer service again thank you very much. Definitely be ordering from them again.

I received my BWGNRK1314-5W in 3 days after ordering. Package and contents arrived with no damage.
My friend I did watch youtube on how to install for my Ram 3500. We let my truck sit overnight and started the next morning and did remove the spare tire, tire heat shield, and rear exhaust. We put instruction out and went step by step. My friend and I installed the unit in 3 hours. I think having 2 people does help.
I am very happy with the unit and etrailer for their help over the phone. I will use etrailer again.

I have had 4 different hitches and this hitch is buy far the best
